About The Cerebral Current
I am Rohan.
A student of politics, economics, law and everything we are told not to talk about at the dinner table.
By degree, I have studied finance, economics, business, statistics, philosophy, history and political science. By temperament, I have always been curious about injustice, inequality, and how some people mistake silence for peace.
This newsletter is for the young Indian who has started to question the script.
The one who wonders why caste still shapes opportunity.
The one who sees the cracks in capitalism but is told they are just not working hard enough.
The one who’s been called too idealistic for caring.
What I Write
I write long-form essays, political letters, and cultural critiques pieces that unpack systems, confront privilege, and make you uncomfortable (in the right way).
Topics range from:
Political silence and complicity
Economic systems and their social cost
Letters on youth, merit, class, caste
Commentary on modern India through the lens of Ambedkar, Gramsci, Nehru, Lenin, and more
And sometimes, just raw reflections on what it means to care in an indifferent world
